ASSOCIATION UNVEILS NOMINEES

The WCU Alumni Association has announced the slate of nominees for open positions on its board of directors. Alumni may vote for one candidate from each of five geographical districts. The top vote-getter in each district will serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2016, and ending June 30, 2019. Cast your ballot and find more details about each candidate online at
alumni.wcu.edu. The deadline to vote is March 31.

N.C. District 1

Bob Buckner ’67, Waynesville; owner of United Music Enterprises and former director of WCU athletic bands.

Barbra Hyde White ’76, Fairview; retired school teacher in Jackson and Buncombe counties and Asheville-area volunteer.

N.C. District 2

Christopher Everett Jr. ’12 ME ’14, Charlotte; assistant ticket manager at UNC Charlotte and former WCU track and football athlete.

Stacie Pless ’98, Lexington; certified public accountant/financial executive at BB&T and community volunteer.

N.C. District 3

Anthony Dowling ’85, Raleigh; executive director of Eno River Media Productions and former fraternity leader.

T.J. Eaves ’12, Durham; assistant district attorney at the Wake County District Attorney’s Office and former Student Government Association president.

N.C. District 4

Jimmy Ramsey ’73, Wilmington; retired executive vice president and chief financial officer for the Taylor Group Inc.

Steve Wilson ’02, Wilmington; paramedic/firefighter for emergency services at Womack Army Medical Center and a current graduate student.

Out-of-State District 5

James “Jim” Beddingfield ’67, Cumming, Georgia; U.S. Department of Labor retiree and private practice attorney.

Van Wilson ’83 MPA ’89, Richmond, Virginia; assistant vice chancellor for academic and student services for the Virginia Community College System.
